Greeters’ Duties

Please arrive at the Boulder Country Club promptly at 11:15 to set up the table which displays the members’ business cards, guest sign-in sheet, and leads slips.  If you notice that any member’s card pile is low and/or missing, please notify that member.  Then, please stand by the room entrance and greet each member as they arrive.  If a guest arrives, please take the time to welcome them to the meeting, show them where to sign in, and familiarize them with meeting procedure (i.e., they can sit wherever they like, they should select their meal by circling it on the menu sheet, they will be given a chance to speak for 2 minutes, etc), and then introduce them to a few other members.

Once the meeting has concluded, please put the business cards, leads slips, and table back where you found them.

If you are unable to attend a meeting for which you are scheduled to be a greeter, please contact a member of the Board as far in advance as possible.  If you are unable to contact a Board member, please make arrangements with another LINQS member to serve as a substitute greeter in your place.

On the first Tuesday of each month, we hold a closed meeting to discuss LINQS business, to have guest speakers, or to hold round table discussions.  These meetings are for members only (no guests) and the member commercials will be condensed to simply stating name and reporting the number of leads passed.

Monthly dues are due at the closed meeting.

If you pass a lead to a member who is not present at that week’s meeting, please contact the member directly via phone or email to notify them of the referral.

Pursuant to the LINQS Bylaws, each member is required to pass at least two (2) leads per month and may be absent for no more than four (4) meetings per quarter.

Members of LINQS may not be members of any other similar networking organizations which function, in whole or in part, to facilitate the sharing or passing of business leads/referrals among its members.  (see the Bylaws and Amendments thereto for further details).

It is your responsibility as a Boulder LINQS member to familiarize yourself with the organization’s Bylaws and to abide by them.

Reminders:

·         Please turn off or mute your cell phones prior to entering the meeting room.

·         Be on time.

·         Do not speak during other members’ presentations or commercials.

·         Honor the 45 second time limit for your commercial.

·         Wear your name tag to each meeting.

·         Bring your LINQS book to each meeting and keep it up to date with each member’s cards.

·         If there is a guest, take the time to introduce yourself to them.

·         It is your responsibility to know when you are scheduled to greet/speak.  Check the online calendar regularly.

You are welcome and encouraged to bring guests – but please make sure to inform the membership committee that you intend to do so and check to make sure that your guest will not conflict with a current member.
